1. What is Sentence Correction?

Sentence Correction questions ask you to identify and correct errors in a sentence or choose the most appropriate version from the options.

Tests: Grammar, Vocabulary, Idioms, Sentence Logic

Often appears with 4–5 options; one is correct, others have errors

Example:

He don't like to play football

Corrected: He does not like to play football

2. Strategy for Sentence Correction

1. Read the Full Sentence Carefully

  • Understand the meaning, logic, and context before choosing an answer

2. Check Grammar First

  • Tense, Subject-Verb Agreement, Articles, Pronouns, Prepositions, Conjunctions

3. Check Vocabulary & Idiomatic Usage

  • Ensure words and phrases are used correctly
  • Example: Kick the bucket happily → Wrong usage; kick the bucket = die

4. Look for Logical Errors

  • Even if grammatically correct, sentence may not make sense

5. Eliminate Clearly Wrong Options

  • Usually 1–2 options are grammatically incorrect → rule them out first

Always read all options fully before choosing
